Our mission for the EnZo 2 was to create the most competitive paraglider possible – and to make it competitive not only in speed and glide, but in the sense of True Performance. The Ozone Performance Project has evolved at an amazing pace over the past five years, and the EnZo 2 represents the cutting edge of modern competition technology. This new wing is significantly improved over its predecessor, despite the difficulties inherent with conforming a wing of this class to the EN Standard.
With 101 cells, and technology gleaned not only from the OPP but also our Ultralite research, the EnZo 2 is the most complex paraglider that we have ever designed. The next-generation SharkNose design and ultra-low-drag line plan have yielded performance that we think will be highly competitive. The EnZo 2’s top speed has been increased, and its performance in turbulent air is unparalleled. On top of that, its performance in the climb is excellent, with a very compact and solid feel at higher angles of attack, again thanks to the next-gen SharkNose. Our comparative testing
has shown a clear advantage in turbulent air and in overall sink rate.
The EnZo 2 is made from a blend of 30D and Porcher Sport 27g material, with the 30D lending structure to the forward part of the chord, and an extensive use of the ultralite 27g material enhancing the wing’s overall behavior. Our testing has shown that although this wing pushes the limits of its class in many ways, it stays well within the reasonable boundaries of modern competition wings.
